We are now three rounds in to the 2017B season with plenty of action coming from the season openers.
At the head of the championship sits Chris English with a 19 point lead over Dan Kell courtesy of a rare full house at Thruxton with pole and three race wins. Current Champion Matt Richards sits in third, his Subaru Levorg currently not matching last seasons performance levels when it was the car to have.
The rest of the pack is tight with many drivers having very inconsistent results over the first three rounds, incident has affected many races keeping the stewards busy.
In the Teams Championship, Gravel trap Racing lead Slipstream Racing by 17 points.
Despite only being early in the season, many teams have already used their single allowed driver change. Chris Shepherd departs MTR Racing after being unable to agree car plans with the team and is replaced by Stefan McCready and Brad Hutchinson steps up from our support series to replace Fournier at Slipstream Racing. Finally we welcome the return of 2012 champion Michael Pitschmann who takes over Max Spooner’s Mercedes after Max opted to retire to team management only duties.
